Podquisition this week had one major enemy, Skype.

Skype is one of those programs that we all know is not the best VOIP program out there, but we still for some reason use for podcasting.

A lot of it comes down to us sometimes getting guests on and guests most often having Skype. Some of it comes down to Skype call recorders being commonplace. Most of it is down to familiarity.

First up, at some point in the call Gavin just broke. Me and Jim were fine, Gav was broken.

Then it was me. Call was closed, I could hear Jim and Gav, they could not hear me.

Skype really is a menace to manage, and maybe one day we will change, but for now we soldier on with it.

Outside of Skype, this week’s Podquisition was a pretty easy going show. A bit low on news and a few edits needing to be made to cut around those tech issues, but it was ultimately a really easy week for the show.

  1. I don’t really post, but I’ve been following the Podquisition since the first episode and, honestly, I just wanted to thank you for all the time and effort you put in these edit works.

May the Butts be with you!
